Mobile Ultrasound

Does your pet need specialized diagnostic testing?

When an animal family member isn’t feeling well, it can be stressful for everyone. Having to bring your pet to a specialty clinic where he or she is not familiar or comfortable can only make matters worse. At Paw Prints Animal Hospital we want our patients to receive the care they need in a way that minimizes stress as much as possible. That’s why we’ve partnered with a local specialty practice that offers mobile ultrasound services. Not only is this more convenient for you, but it’s also much better for your pet.

Ultrasound imaging provides a non-invasive way to examine the inside of your pet’s body and diagnose potential health concerns. It is safe and painless, yet offers highly-accurate images that allow us to evaluate how your pet’s body is functioning. Some of the many ailments and medical conditions ultrasound can be used to identify and diagnose include:

  • Heart Disease (Congenital or Age-Related)
  • Tumors
  • Bladder and/or Kidney Stones
  • Diseases of the Organs (Liver, Gall Bladder, Kidney)
  • Gastrointestinal Problems
  • Much More…

In many cases, traditional diagnostic testing, such as blood work and x-rays aren’t enough to reach a definitive diagnosis. Ultrasound provides the added level of insight our doctors need to ensure that your pet receives the most timely and effective care. Should an ultrasound be recommended, we’ll arrange for our partners to bring their state-of-the-art equipment with them to administer the test right at our clinic. By cutting down on the level of stress your companion experiences, we can more accurately diagnose and treat whatever may be ailing him or her.

If your pet has been acting unusual lately and you’re concerned an illness or injury might be to blame, contact us right away. We can conduct the necessary testing and arrange for in-clinic specialized care as needed. Call today to learn more.

My dog of 9 years was having very serious problems. I called my usual vet and they could not "fit him in". I called Paw prints around 745 last Wednesday morning, told them what was going on and the receptionist asked that I be there at 830. I took my baby in and it turned out that he was having major complications and the best option for him was not him coming home with me. Dr. Cousins and the nurse that seen my baby were absolutely wonderful. They hugged me, held my hand, even almost cried with me. Even the staff at the desk were so very sweet and gave me their condolences. Although my first visit here wasn't under best circumstances, I am so very thankful that this is where I took my baby. They have since then sent a card thanking me for allowing them to care for my baby and another card with the sweetest message and told me I made the right decision. I will be eternally grateful for their love compassion and care they showed for my baby. Highly thinking about switching and making this my new vets office!

We had to make a hard decision to put our husky named Blue down....she was having more bad days than good. We decided to take her to Paw Prints, because family of ours referred us to go to them. It was a rough moment for my husband and me. Everyone seemed very kind and were very gentle with Blue....which I was so happy, because she was yelping in pain when her last vet would try to make her stand up and was yelping in pain when they took her in the back where I couldn't see her. Paw prints let us stay by her side the whole time though. They even sent us a sweet card... which really made me want to write a review even more. We want them to know we appreciate the card and them. It's been a hard week without our sweet Blue, but that card made our day today. Thank you Paw Prints....I will always recommend anyone to go here!

I do recommend the vets there. Some of the staff I was not really happy with when they would not muzzle my dog to clip his nails. Then he had to have a couple of lumps removed and the C collar is so big on him. After I paid almost 600.00 which 20.00 of that was for the C collar they told me I could go to pets mart and get one that would fit him for 19.99....Really you couldn't have someone to run up to pets mart and get one. That upset me. So now I have to hold his food bowl up to him to get him to eat because the C collar is so big he can't get to his bowl.

I had THE BEST experience! THEY CARE! Doberman Pinschers are a real different breed with some quirky issues occasionally. My experience started with reception with Ms. Molly who was very kind. The Vet Tech Diana was EXTREMELY seasoned with deep observational AND probing questions providing an AMAZING triage. Dr. Melissa Elledge actually cared about my dog and SPENT TIME with my sweet Zeb. PRICING WAS AMAZING! It was MUCH lower than an upset tummy visit from a chain vet office. MY DOBIE IS “THAT ONE” dog you get in a lifetime! HE WAS BLESSED WITH THE BEST AND PAW PRINTS DESERVES AND EARNS MY DEEPEST GRATITUDE!
